MAJ Gregory Bloom

Major Gregory Bloom serves as the Assistant Professor of Military Science and Battalion Executive Officer for the Forged Gold Army ROTC Battalion at the University of California-Davis. A Stockton, California native, MAJ Bloom brings over 12 years of U.S. Army experience, rooted in Field Artillery and Joint Fires assignments.

MAJ Bloom has held numerous leadership and staff roles, including support to U.S. State Department and Embassy Operations in Iraq, Nigeria, and Ukraine in order to improve interoperability through air-ground integration and the joint fires enterprise. Most recently, MAJ Bloom served as the Battalion Operations officer for a Field Artillery Battalion in the California Army National guard, tasked with providing support for multiple Civil Support Operations and Defense Support of Civil Authorities within the state.

MAJ Bloom holds a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership from Webster University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from University of San Diego. He is a recent graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College’s Intermediate Level Education and the U.S. Army Transformation and Training Command’s Military History Instructor Course and Common Faculty Instructor Development Course.
