1LT Andres Fonseca commissioned from Florida Atlantic University in 2021 as a Field Artillery Officer. He began his career serving 16 months as a Fire Direction Officer in 3rd Cavalry Regiment, Steel Squadron, where he was responsible for the precision and execution of fires at the battery level.

He later served as a Fire Support Officer, integrating fires in support of maneuver operations and gaining a broader perspective on how fires shape the battlefield. His assignments have taken him from Fort Sill, Oklahoma, to Fort Hood, Texas, and overseas to Camp Casey, South Korea, each experience further developing him as both an officer and a leader.

He now serves as the Recruiting Operations Officer for the Army ROTC programs at UC Davis and Sacramento State University, where he mentors cadets and prepares the next generation of Army leaders.
